va-Q-tec has received an honorary certificate from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the Koelleda site
- On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the production site in Koelleda, va-Q-tec received the certificate of honor from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK).
- The award has been presented since 1998 and gives special recognition to companies on milestone anniversaries.
- It was presented by Thomas Fahlbusch, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Training and Further Education at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, at a company party on May 5th, 2023.
- va-Q-tec manufactures boxes and containers in Koelleda for the transport of temperature-sensitive products such as medicines and food.
Würzburg, 08 May, 2023: va-Q-tec, the expert for thermal energy efficiency and temperature-controlled supply chains, was awarded the Certificate of Honour by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce on its 15th company anniversary at the production site in Kölleda, Thuringia. The award was presented during a company celebration at va-Q-tec on 05 May 2023.
Location in Koelleda celebrates 15th anniversary
Since its foundation in August 2008, the site in Koelleda has grown continuously, increasing the production area almost tenfold. Financial support from the federal state of Thuringia and the EU, as well as the optimal logistical location with proximity to the A71 motorway and airports between Leipzig and Erfurt have positively influenced the growth of the last 15 years. Today, more than 170 employees develop, manufacture and distribute many millions of vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) and hundreds of thousands of high-tech boxes for the temperature-controlled transport of a wide variety of products, such as food or medicines, on the approximately 50,000 square metre site in a building area of around 17,000 square meters. va-Q-tec is also well prepared for further growth in Koelleda – over 15,000 square meters of the site are still undeveloped and can be used for future production facilities.
Award of the certificate of honor by the IHK
For more than 20 years now, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce has been awarding companies with a certificate of honor for their many years of existence and entrepreneurial success. The award was presented by Thomas Fahlbusch, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Training and Further Education at the IHK.
Dr. Joachim Kuhn, founder and CEO of va-Q-tec, received the certificate on behalf of the whole va-Q-tec team and is pleased: “This honorary certificate is a great award for va-Q-tec and all employees.
