va-Q-tec was exhibitor at the 13th International Symposium on Vacuum Insulation (IVIS) in Paris from September 20 to 21, 2017. At the conference, scientist Dr. Flávia Almeida gave first insights into the European project THEcore (funding contract 748256). For this she received the first prize for the “Best Oral Presentation”. In her presentation she drew the attention of the audience from industry and science to the development of a new nanopolymer core material for vacuum insulation panels, a joint project of va-Q-tec and SUMTEQ GmbH.
The biennial IVIS event brings together scientists, companies, and experts to discuss important topics such as performance evaluation, quality, and challenges for the market acceptance of vacuum insulation materials.
