Living space is expensive, especially in city centres, due to the limited available space. Internal insulation of residential and office buildings with vacuum insulation panels (VIPs) can create additional living space that would be lost when using conventional insulation materials.
When insulating interiors with VIPs, special attention must be paid to the vapour barrier on the interior side. This can be done either by applying a vapour barrier film over the entire surface or by masking the joints between the panels.
