Mastering the heat transition with vacuum and water for maximum thermal efficiency
In collaboration with the company “Ritter Energie– und Umwelttechnik“, va-Q-tec has developed the highly efficient solar thermal system AquaSOLAR+. It has an energy efficiency class A+ heat storage tank and consists of a combination of the SOLAR PLASMA+ vacuum tube collector and the vacuum-insulated SP Aqua HEX+ fresh water storage tank. This makes the innovative system an ideal addition to energy-efficient properties for maximising use of solar energy in the heating supply.
Thanks to the insulation with Vacuum Insulation Panels (VIPs) from va-Q-tec, the fresh water cylinder retains heat significantly better than cylinders with conventional insulation materials, while the insulation material thickness remains the same. The fresh water cylinder is also equipped with numerous innovative functions.
Insulated with innovative vacuum insulation, the cylinder has a heat loss of just 46.1 watts and is almost ten per cent below the legally prescribed limit for the highest possible energy efficiency class A+. The entire hard-shell insulation system (va-Q-shell) is removable so that the storage cylinder can be easily transported to its destination. This means the large-volume cylinder with a capacity of 750 liters can fit easily through all standard doors.
