Characteristics | |
va-Q-pur is an evacuated thermal insulation panel with a very low thermal conductivity. The core of va-Q-pur comprises open cell polyurethane(PUR)-foam. The PUR core is sealed in a low permeation gas barrier film under vacuum. The barrier film ensures that the va-Q-pur keeps the necessary vacuum level for a long time. In general, rectangular panels are produced. Other shapes may be produced on request. Due to the rigid PUR-core the light weight VIP is solid and stable. For va-Q-pur application a series production is required. | ![]() |
Applications | |
va-Q-pur is especially developed for applications in a cool environment, e.g. appliances like freezers and refrigerators or thermo packaging. va-Q-pur can be used together with conventional polyurethane foam systems. The heat during the foaming process does not influence the thermal or mechanical properties of the vacuum panels. The adhesion between the surface of the vacuum panel and the outer polyurethane foam is good. Please discuss your application with va-Q-tec AG. | ![]() |
